City Ubud, Bali, managed to rank fourth in the list of ’25 Best Cities in the World’ version of the Travel and Leisure tourism site in 2021. The list was compiled by Travel & Leisure based on a poll of website readers who have traveled to various regions of the world. Readers will give their ratings or views on the sights, culture, food, hospitality, shopping and overall value.
Ubud ranks below the city of Istanbul in Turkey, and above the city of Kyoto in Japan.
Meanwhile, at the top of the rankings is the Mexican city of San Miguel de Allende, a country that was also named the ‘World’s Best Travel Destination for 2022’.
Overall, the top five on this list are occupied by; San Miguel de Allende (Mexico), Udaipur (India), Istanbul (Turkey), Ubud (Indonesia), and Kyoto (Japan).
Ubud’s achievement is very proud, because it “beats” cities as popular as Bangkok, Tokyo, and Seoul.
Bangkok is in tenth place, Tokyo in 19th place, and Seoul in 23rd place.
This prestigious annual list was compiled by the editors based on a reader survey that took place from January 11 to May 10, 2021. Here is the full list:
